Essentially anything that resembles a functional weapon.

The Long Sword would be my favourite of the sword skins.
Any of the single-bladed axes.
Hammers... well I have this thing against two-handed hammers... long story.
Bows are pretty meh all around so no real opinion.
Tall Shields and Shields of the Wing/Defender/Aegis are probably my favourite of the shields. Shame the latter isn't dyeable.

Staves, rods/wands, and off-hands need work. So many options for a Sword or Axe Warrior or Ranger... with the casters (four of the six original professions mind you) you're limited to the design that matches one of your specs.

My Geomancer and Bloodmancer use the Pillar and Torment, respectively. That's probably my favourite staff skin, and the mods are at least helpful with their builds. Though chances are I'd use them even if they weren't exactly optimum.

My mesmers also have access to one of those double-headed dragon staves (that Anet later used the same skin for Rago's Flame Staff), with max stats and good mods for Illusion builds.

I dunno for a mesmer, but I like the fellblade... looks especially nice the way it matches my black armor and all :P

I like the Storm bow for my ranger but I have yet to find a good one to use. I've got two crappy ones that I keep for the hell of it. I love my fellblade. I dyed it red, which doesn't really color it persay but it does cause flickers of color in the animation and makes it look partially bloodstained which is nifty.

Sword - wingblade or new Katana
Staff - Wilcrusher or Bhron's/Kephkets
Shield - Tall Shield (fan of knight style of that shield)
Bow - Tie between Recurve/Ivory bow
Hammer - Murssat hammer/spiked hammer (like the board with nails through it look)
Axe - Chaos/New Sickle Skin
Wand - Gordac's Needle (love the black holy rod look)
Offhand - The monk pimp cup (divine alternate skin) (have yet to find one with good mods)/Stoneheart/Hook Blood

The traditional double dragon head horn bow. (as used in pvp)
Dwarven hammers (not axes).
The new fire staff skin.
The Willcrusher.
Magma's shields.

I used to like chaos axes but im sick of seeing every whammo with one. xD

I'd have to say the Jeweled Staff that has the 2 dragon head skin like Ragos does....Or the Rago's

or the Earth staff with the Black floating Crystal on it....

That one I am not good at explaning

As far as other weapons.....Simple old Chaos Axes and Etheral Shields are cute...Stormbows are 2...Otherwise I just use whats best mod wise

Sword: Wingblade/Long Sword
Axe: Hand Axe (They actually look mean :P )
Wand: Circle Tip Cane
Focus: Air Artifact (shame you can't dye it)
Staff: Twin Dragon, Willcrusher looks like a twig and not very Mesmerish more necroish.
Shield: Buckler

I love seeing IW in PvP, gives my mesmer a field day when I run Illusion and steal it off people with Inspired. The fun of switching weapons. Its also a great, shatter, drain, and usually "Kill me now as I do nothing" target. Now what is really fun to see is a Me/W running E-denial and Fear Me. Or hell even some odd Me/W build that does creepy things, god knows I have fun experimenting with this. As for IW sword (as that is the best weapon to use with it) Wingblade, its very mesmerish.

~ Why don't we have a nice Rapier like the cover Art Mesmer has? Riptose would actually... be fitting of its name. Who the hell fences with a long sword :P

Not to intersted in hammers just a good War hammer like Devona uses.

Icy Stormbow or Defense was pwnzers on my ranger back in the good ole days but I don't really like the skins for many of the ele weps. Necros, i'd sign off on Bortak's bone cesta, but his claw just looks dumb. i'd rather have the set match, so you have two of those evil giant black gloves on both hands instead of the puke colored stick we get. i mean, they call it a claw, right??? where's my wolverine?

But thats just me

On a cheaper note, I have a sword on my monk that looks exactly like a crystalline, that old pre sword from the Moa Bird Quest? Way cheaper to get and good for casting lol!

swords: shadow blade in prophesies and katana in factions.

staves: agree with elementalist tara, orrish staves are great

willcrusher looks cute but got not-so-good stats, so i usually prefer wand/offhand combo, bortacks staff looks great but again stats are not so useful....

wands/offhands - medusa head offhand for necros and ivor's offhand look are my absolute favorites. there are alot of great-looking offhands in factions f/ex paper fan

shields: magmas

bows: forgerunner, dead bow, stormbow

hammers: mursaat spiked

axes: razorstone
